Who We Are
My name is Josh, and I have felt a deep connection to Maine and its waterways since childhood. I grew up spending weekends and vacations on Little Sebago Lake before eventually making Maine my home. It was here that I discovered my passion for water sports—whether wakeboarding, wakesurfing, foiling, or simply enjoying time on the lake.
In 2009, I joined the United States Marine Corps as a radio operator. During my six years of service, I completed a 14-month deployment to Afghanistan. After returning home, I struggled with the lasting effects of deployment and often felt lost and uncertain. Throughout that difficult period, the water remained a place where I could find peace, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Following my military service, I continued serving others by becoming an EMT and later a registered nurse.
I helped create the Maine Wake Sports Coalition to preserve the sports and waterways that have given so much to me. My goal is to promote responsible recreation, education, and stewardship so my children—and generations to come—can experience the same freedom, community, and peace that I have always found on Maine’s waters.
